John Acorn is a naturalist who is widely known for his inspiring personality and infectious love of nature. He became publicly known for his television series Acorn, the Nature Nut. Eighty-eight episodes were produced, each focusing on a different aspect of the natural world, and combining folk music with ingenious educational lyrics about his subjects.  John is a lecturer at the University of Alberta, a research associate at the Royal Tyrrell Museum of Paleontology, and a research associate at the E.H.
